After graduating from McDowell High School in 1993, I pursued a degree in Elementary Education at Edinboro University. During my college years, I worked as a school bus driver for Ryder Student Transportation (1993–1999) and served as a football and wrestling coach within the Millcreek Township School District.
Following graduation, I began my teaching career at Perseus House, an alternative education program in the Erie School District. In 2003, I accepted a one-year substitute position as a middle school science teacher. The next year, I enrolled in the Special Education Master’s program at Mercyhurst University. After completing the program, I joined the Corry Area School District as an Emotional Support teacher.
After two years, I transitioned into a high school role as an Instructional Technology Specialist while also teaching middle school computer literacy. In 2006, I completed my Instructional Technology Specialist certification at Edinboro University. I later expanded my teaching responsibilities to include eighth-grade mathematics.
In 2017, I accepted a new position as a Business Education teacher in the PENNCREST School District, where I continue to teach today. This role has allowed me to combine my passion for education, technology, and entrepreneurship to prepare students for success in the real world.
Outside the classroom, I serve as a council member in my community and am a proud member of the Edinboro University Alumni Board. I remain active in athletics as the media and marketing coordinator for the Northwest Pennsylvania Football Coaching Association (NWPFCA).
Family is the foundation of my life. My wife, Amy, and I have been married for over 26 years and are the proud parents of three children: Ellen, Alec, and Owen. In my spare time, I enjoy music and play several instruments including saxophone, keyboard, guitar, and drums. I am also the owner of Millennium Sound Productions, the largest entertainment company in Northwest Pennsylvania.
