Welcome to Mr. Eisert.com!
As a business teacher at Maplewood High School for the past seven years, I have taught a wide range of courses including Accounting, Marketing, Introduction to Business, Multimedia & Live Production, and Computer Basics. This diverse teaching background has allowed me to develop and apply strong technology skills, particularly in areas such as social media strategy, live broadcasting, and podcast production. Through hands-on classroom experiences, I have guided students in producing professional-grade multimedia content, managing live events, and understanding the evolving digital landscape—skills that I also bring to professional and extracurricular initiatives.
Below are some examples of lessons and activities in Mr. Eisert's class
By the end of this project, students will be able to:
Identify and define key components of the marketing mix (Product, Price, Place, Promotion)
Create a brand identity (name, logo, slogan) for a new business
Define their target market and customer profile
Develop a basic promotional strategy for a pizza shop
Present their business concept to the class using persuasive marketing techniques
Here are the logos designed. The tee shirts were pressed in our class using DTF technology and a heat press.
This dynamic, student-led course simulates a real-world newsroom environment, where students are responsible for producing and streaming a daily live news show to the school and community. The class combines journalism, digital media production, public speaking, and teamwork into a fast-paced, professional learning experience. Students rotate through various newsroom roles—anchoring, directing, producing, camera operation, scriptwriting, audio engineering, and editing—building a portfolio of technical and creative skills.

Pennsylvania Business Week is an immersive, week-long, in-school program designed to teach high school students the fundamentals of business and economics through hands-on experience. Organized by Americans for the Competitive Enterprise System (ACES), a nonprofit based in Erie, PA, the program places students into teams that simulate running a company. Throughout the week, students learn to manage finances, develop marketing strategies, and collaborate effectively to achieve business success.
Business Simulation: Students take on roles such as CEO, CFO, and Marketing Director, making real-time decisions that affect their company's performance.
Community Engagement: The program fosters connections between students and local businesses, highlighting career opportunities within their communities.
Competitions: The week culminates in five key competitions: Advertising, Stockholders, Trade Show, Return on Net Assets, and Top Company.aces
Mentorship: Local business professionals volunteer as Advisors, guiding student teams and providing insights into the business world.
In 2022, I founded Lancers Media, a podcasting and live media streaming initiative created to enhance communication and school spirit within the General McLane School District, where my son attended high school. The goal of the program was to demonstrate to students and administrators how digital media could be used to promote school activities, athletics, and events across the community. Over the course of two years, our team produced regular content highlighting student achievements and district initiatives.
Following the success of the project, the school district launched its own internal media program, at which point Lancers Media concluded its productions. I now serve as the bi-weekly podcast host and producer for the Northwest Pennsylvania Football Coaching Association (NWPFCA), an organization comprised of District 10 football coaches, where I continue to use media to spotlight high school football programs, athletes, and coaching strategies across the region.

LIVE STREAM PRODUCTIONS
Here is a Live Stream that was produced in the fall of 2024 when General McLane High School traveled for Clearfield High School for a PIAA 4A playoff game. We were able to obtain sponsors and create commercials. We also used multi-cameras, wireless cameras and commentation throughout the production. We had over 1500 viewers during our live production.
